THERE WAS NO RESPONSE TO AN UPDATE REMINDER IN 2017 SO THERE IS NO UPDATE.
Going for blood work every six months my PSA was 1.5 went to 2.4. Two weeks later went for test on prostate (biopsy). Out of twelve samples, one had 2% cancer with some abnormal cells in one other. Gleason Score 3 plus 3. I thought "My God, not me!"
All I could think of is get it out. I did my homework and looked at all the treatments with it being contained. On December 28, 2009 robotic surgery was done. I will have my follow up on January 5, 2010. It was no walk in the park but not all that bad 36 hours later.
What option you choose don't second guess it, but most of all don't rush in to it, and don't take your sweet time. I meet some one who had the same surgery six months ago, and like him I hope to start the rest of my life cancer free.
He has none of the left over side effects, he says he feels like 21 again.. he did tell me of some one at 42 years who has prostate cancer and was worried more about sex life than his life, and now is fighting for it. My heart goes out to every one and their families. I will let you know how it goes............

ED taken care of Viagra some times Edex.

Stan
Just taken second blood test waiting for results. PSA from .01 to .02 don't know what it means right now. Hope the next reading goes back to .01. All we can do is hang in.
Best wishes and a Happy New Year to all of us.
Later: Here goes if any one has some help; 2 years after surgery PSA has gone to .02 from 0.1. Started to go up they want to do beam radiation, has any one had this problem who might give me some direction? The test was done twice. [I have tried to point out the issues with Ultra Sensitive PSA Tests and suggested that Stan reads BioChemical Recurrence before doing anything.]
Had my PSA; jump from .01 to .02 to 0.22 had blood work done, after radiation back to undetectable.
So far so good luck
Last time my PSA;, before treatment was .22. droped .08 now 0.1. Hope it stays there. We all know at this point, we will deal with this for the rest of our lives, may we always win, never give up.
Best wishes to all of us. Stan

Best wishes on all of us. stan
Hi to everyone. Zero is lucky for all of us. My number continues to be so, as I wish it for all of us. Some times it is hard to come up with the, words to make us all smile. As always I wish the best for all. May the sunshine rest on each and every one of us through the coming years, and on those who have lost love ones.
My regards
Stan
