Ken Tescher and Amy live in the USA. He was 57 when he was diagnosed in March, 2008. His initial PSA was 5.40 ng/ml, his Gleason Score was 7, and he was staged T2c. His choice of treatment was Surgery (Robotic Laparoscopic Prostatectomy). Here is his story.

THERE WAS NO RESPONSE TO AN UPDATE REMINDER IN 2012 SO THERE IS NO UPDATE.

Newly diagnosed, leaning towards seeds and radiation. Has anyone been treated at RCOG (Radiation College of Atlanta) in Atlanta?

UPDATED

September 2008

Tom, Ken's brother, reports that Ken had his surgery July 8th and is doing great. He just had his first 6 week checkup and it came back undetectable. We are hoping it stays that way for a long time to come. Both our doctors seem to think long term outlook is good.

UPDATED

April 2009

Tom, Ken's brother, reports that Ken is doing great also, his last check was zero detection and he's getting erectile function back. He asked that the surgeon spare both nerve bundles, Tom's took the left side as that's where his cancer was located. He thinks that's likely the difference.

UPDATED

February 2010

Tom, Ken's brother, reports that Ken is still at zero after about 1.5 years. So the hope is it stays that low for a long time to come.

UPDATED

April 2011

Tom, Ken's brother, who has an undetectable PSA reports that Ken's PSA is also still undetectable.

Ken's e-mail address is: toddtesch@aol.com (but this e-mail address may no longer be valid)

NOTE: Ken has not updated his story for more than 15 months, so you may not receive any response from him.
