David Evans and Tim live in Tennessee, USA. He was 64 when he was diagnosed in October, 2014. His initial PSA was 5.03 ng/ml, his Gleason Score was 7b, and he was staged T2c. His initial treatment choice was Surgery (Robotic Laparoscopic Prostatectomy) and his current treatment choice is None. Here is his story.

THERE WAS NO RESPONSE TO AN UPDATE REMINDER IN 2016 SO THERE IS NO UPDATE.

I went to the dr to get a physical on Oct 15, 2014. He drew blood and did the normal things sending me to a colon dr to be checked out. Then when he got my PSA; level back at 5.03 he made me an appointment to go see a urogloist. The dr did a dre on me and said he felt hard spot on one side and that he would like to do a biospy on my prostate. Well now the story begins. I have a 12 needle biospy and 8 of those were postive for cancer. My gleason came back at 4+3 (7). So to speed it along I had surgery on 30 December 2014. Robotic surgery removing prostate, Seminal vessels, lymph nodes, and removed all nerves as well. So just out of surgery and home now. Waiting to get catheter out on this Thursday Jan. 8, 2015. Got my path report back with clear margins gleason 4+3=7 tertiary of 5 involving both lobes. So not to much more to say then that right now. Will continue to update after dr appointments.

UPDATED

January 2015

Catheter out on 9 Jan 2015 nice to have that thing out. Been leaking since removal of it. Seems to the worst when standing and walking. Sitting and laying down not so bad. Waking up once a night to go to bathroom most nights. Very little leakage at night time so far. Go back to doctor on Feb. 6, 2015 for checkup and first PSA test since surgery. Will post after that and getting results of PSA.

UPDATED

June 2015

Had my prostate removed on 30 Dec 2014. Feeling really well but still incontience continues. Have had two PSA; tests completed to date, both are at .008 feeling really well about that.

ED is still a problem. Had a non-nerve sparing prostate removal. Just approved for a penile implant. Surgery date is July 9, 2015.
