Charles R lives in Georgia, USA. He was 56 when he was diagnosed in January, 2018. His initial PSA was 6.20 ng/ml, his Gleason Score was 7b, and he was staged T3a. His initial treatment choice was Surgery (Robotic Laparoscopic Prostatectomy) and his current treatment choice is None. Here is his story.

I had a radical prostatectomy April 2018. Gleason 4+3. Stage IIIa. Decipher 0.75. I ended up going for adjuvant therapy from August to October 2018. Since then, my PSA's have been less than 0.006. My last one was 0.014. Question has arisen as to whether this is a recurrence. We are continuing to monitor. Will draw additional PSA 's to look for a trend. Hopefully it will stay undetectable.

UPDATED

February 2021

I am now almost 3 years since I had surgery. My PSA is still thankfully undetectable. My initial PSA was <0.006 and last year went to <0.014. There was some talk of it possibly recurring but it was later determined the national lab was using a new analyzer with a different value for undetectable and so thankfully I am still in remission. I continue to get PSA’s every 3 months. I feel good and my energy is good. I am thankful to be cancer free at this time.
