  DIAMOND
This is his Country or State Flag

John Childers and Susan live in Texas, USA. He was 60 when he was diagnosed in August, 2003. His initial PSA was 4.40 ng/ml, his Gleason Score was 7, and he was staged T1c. His initial treatment choice was Surgery (Retropubic Prostatectomy) and his current treatment choice is None. Here is his story.

THERE WAS NO RESPONSE TO AN UPDATE REMINDER IN 2016 SO THERE IS NO UPDATE.

I had recently retired from the USAF and before retirement I received a physical. No problems.

I enrolled in Tricare and was requested to come in for a physical. My reasoning was I just had one. The doctor did blood work and was concerned with the PSA, and recommended I do a biopsy. I had two small area which came back as cancer.

After a lot of prayer and reading and talking with doctor, my wife and I decided that surgery was the way to go.

Now am 5 years being cancer free. I have check up and blood work done every year. So I can keep on top of the situation.

If I can be of help to anyone going through this give me a shout.
