Tom Whalen and Rita live in New Mexico, USA. He was 64 when he was diagnosed in October, 2016. His initial PSA was 5.25 ng/ml, his Gleason Score was 6, and he was staged T1c. His initial treatment choice was Undecided and his current treatment choice is None. Here is his story.

THERE WAS NO RESPONSE TO AN UPDATE REMINDER IN 2017 SO THERE IS NO UPDATE.

The Biopsy procedure kinda sucks but I know it's necessary. I've had two of those and one MRI.

I'm going to get another PSA this month (Jan.) and go from there. I'm mainly waiting till I turn 65 (Jan. 2017) and get on Medicare. Depending on my next PSA reading I will either stay on active surveillance or decide on which treatment option. My Pten is low which is good news.

I've joined the local PC group here in Albuquerque and find them supportive and helpful.

Hard to figure what treatment option is best for me. I go to the gym 6 days a week and consider myself in pretty good shape. I've also been taking green supplements.

I have firstly put my faith in God as he knows whats best for me. I have not seen an Oncologist or Radiologist yet.

Any comments are welcome. Thank you for letting me join this group....Regards, Tom
