Giogiogio G lives in Other Location. He was 44 when he was diagnosed in January, 2010. His initial PSA was 90.00 ng/ml, his Gleason Score was 9, and he was staged T3a. His initial treatment choice was External Beam Radiation+ADT (Other) and his current treatment choice is Other (Other). Here is his story.

THERE WAS NO RESPONSE TO AN UPDATE REMINDER IN 2016 SO THERE IS NO UPDATE.

I have hormone refractory metastatic cancer. PSA been rising from 0.9 post radio and casodex in 2010 progressively to 150 now, with various reductions when put on different anti hormone such as Firmagon etc...

Tired of 5 years of Casodex, Lucrin and friends, I decided to make an "abrupt" decision after I was diagnosed also in October 2014 with Chronic Mylotic Leukaemia caused most probably by my radiation treatment in 2010. I have gone for Rigvir (Oncolytic Virus), Massive Doses of IV Vit C and severe reduction in food intake following more or less Breuss Diet (disgusting flavours :D). I am also taking Hydrea for the CML. Lost 20 pounds in 2 weeks. No meat allowed anymore :(.

Cut out all anti hormones, feeling great after 1 month starting the above therapy, had two metastatic pains before both gone now... can't feel them anymore. First blood test next week. Scans in January. Hospital watching with interes, "if it doesn't work we put you on abiraterone". Haven't and won't do chemo, it hasn't saved anyone with T4. No one.

Will keep everyone updated. Good luck to all of you.

UPDATED

December 2014

Hi!

I just got my first blood tests after two weeks treatment. My white blood cells skyrocketed to 86K ( from 61, normal about 10K), in theory not good, but the lymphocytes rose 3 fold to almost normal levels and the platelets by 50%. Doctor was very pleased as he said that the white blood cell increase was probably not due to the Leukaemia but the RIGVIR Oncolytic Virus infection and the other two values were very good news.

I have also added artemisia annua to the protocol yesterday (ugh 70% proof, need to dilute it). Feel great. Need to wait for scans in Feb now, though will do regular blood tests and will update the blog. Might even do the PSA test but doctor says only the scans are worth anything at my current stage. Merry Christmas to all!
