Doug C and Becca live in Arkansas, USA. He was 59 when he was diagnosed in March, 2014. His initial PSA was 6.40 ng/ml, his Gleason Score was 6, and he was staged T1c. His initial treatment choice was Surgery (Robotic Laparoscopic Prostatectomy) and his current treatment choice is None. Here is his story.

THERE WAS NO RESPONSE TO AN UPDATE REMINDER IN 2016 SO THERE IS NO UPDATE.

Age 60, biopsy at age 57 showed ASAP. Re-biopsy age 59 shows Gleason 6 on right mid. Decided on AS for now. Just had a endo MRI which shows left mid involvement, no Gleason on it yet. Am now considering surgury.

UPDATED

November 2014

Decided on robotic at MD Anderson. I am now 6 weeks post and have no side effects. Still waiting on final pathology. I couldn't be happier with the results. I was also considering brachy but due to size of prostate I was not able to do. I should have final pathology next week. I also just had a PSA; test, still waiting for results on it.

NOTE: Doug has not updated his story for more than 15 months, so you may not receive any response from him.
