THERE WAS NO RESPONSE TO AN UPDATE REMINDER IN 2017 SO THERE IS NO UPDATE.
I was diagnosed on March 31, 2014 with metastasis Prostate Cancer. We were told that it was located in the pelvis, lymph nodes, ribs, arms and legs. My initial PSA was 5.7 and went to 13 which prompted a biopsy.
My PSA climbed to 113 prior to my first injection and now that I have just had my second Zoladex injection is has come down to 23. My Radiologist has informed me that I should consider having Chemo prior to radiation treatments as a recent trial has indicated that it may extend my life by aprx 1 year. With the research I have done, I believe I will take the chemo prior to radiation and will let you know the results soonest.
At this point I do not have any serious pain and am taking Celebrex daily as well as calcium and vitamin E. We just found out today that I have been given 4 -5 years. Even though it was very difficult for my wife and I to hear, I know it is a lot better news than a lot of people receive.
I must say that I have a hard time buying into the number they are giving me and am setting out to prove them all wrong.
Regards,
Jim
