Eric EG lives in New York, USA. He was 59 when he was diagnosed in November, 2012. His initial PSA was 7.10 ng/ml, his Gleason Score was 7b, and he was staged T3b. His initial treatment choice was Surgery (Robotic Laparoscopic Prostatectomy) and his current treatment choice is None. Here is his story.

THERE WAS NO RESPONSE TO AN UPDATE REMINDER IN 2015 SO THERE IS NO UPDATE.

My PSA went from 1.6 to 7.1 in one year. Knowing my family history, I knew I was in trouble. My father and uncle died from prostate cancer and my cousin had it at the young age of 53.

My family doctor referred me to a Urologist group in Long Island NY. After a rectal exam and going over my family history, I was told that I should set up an appointment for next week for radiation. I ran from that office as fast as I could.

I then went to a local Hospital for a second opinion. The Urologist had me do a 3TMRI and then did a Targeted Biopsy. The results came back possitve for prostate cancer. He then referred my to two surgeons in Long Island. Because of my age and my prostate was small,he recomended surgery.

I took a week to research my options and came to the conclusion that my best line of action was to find the best robotic surgeon in NY and do the surgery as soon as possible. I wanted this monster out of my body.

Thank God I found Dr. Samadi. He did a nerve sparing SMART robotic Prostatectomy a week later. The results were beyond my imagination. The surgery was one, painless, hour. My recovery was almost painless and quick. I had complete control of my urine in two months. My PSA was undetectable,0.02 and is still the same after one year today. I only took Viagra for one month and my sex life is improving every day.

I do not regret having done surgery for my prostate cancer. If you can find the best surgeon in your area, you will have great results like I did.....Good luck and God bless....Thank You Dr. Samadi
