Doug McNeil lives in Georgia, USA. He was 63 when he was diagnosed in November, 2012. His initial PSA was 6.90 ng/ml, his Gleason Score was 7, and he was staged Unknown. His initial treatment choice was Brachytherapy (Seed Implant with External Beam) and his current treatment choice is None. Here is his story.

THERE WAS NO RESPONSE TO AN UPDATE REMINDER IN 2015 SO THERE IS NO UPDATE.

I had my PSA checked twice a year. June of 2012 it was 2.7 and then went to 4.0 in November. December it went to over 6. My urologist did a biopsy and out of 12 cores found cancer in three. I chose Brachy threatment followed with seven weeks of external radiation last June. My first PSA after the treatment was 1.0. Yesterday my second PSA came back .6. I am very pleased with the direction I am headed. I have moderate urinary problems but controlable with Flomax. Still get up 1-2 time a night to go. Sex life is not the best but I have very low "T". Urologist says this problem can be addressed when my PSA gets below .2. Overall the process has been no big deal, just time consuming. Now an expert on this so feel free to e-mail me.
