M P lives in Illinois, USA. He was 57 when he was diagnosed in June, 2012. His initial PSA was 5.00 ng/ml, his Gleason Score was 6, and he was staged Unknown. His initial treatment choice was Surgery (Manual Laparoscopic Prostatectomy) and his current treatment choice is None. Here is his story.

THERE WAS NO RESPONSE TO AN UPDATE REMINDER IN 2015 SO THERE IS NO UPDATE.

My gleason score is 3+4=7 Urologist is recommending DaVinci surgery, not sure what to do. I do not have any symptoms other than the 7 Gleason.

UPDATED

April 2014

After discussions with others I decided to see Dr. Catalona who specializes in prostate cancer surgery and is recognized as an expert in performing the "nerve-sparing" radical prostatectomy. He has performed more than 6,000 of these operations. His patients have come from all over the world.

The surgery was performed 3/13/2014 so it is to soon to tell the side effects or the PSA levels.
