THERE WAS NO RESPONSE TO AN UPDATE REMINDER IN 2016 SO THERE IS NO UPDATE.
Surgery on July 15, 2013. Four weeks since and leakage contained to sudden movements, coughing and especially sneezing. I get very tired and do not seem to have much energy to get through the afternoon. Don't know if this is common or not. I chose to have the Open type procedure since my surgeon was convinced that after 3500 open procedures and the advancements in optics he could perform nerve sparing surgery with less stress to surrounding tissue then any other treatment type. I spoke with 2 other robotic pros and decided I would go with the open procedure.
As far as ED; I take the presribed 5mg of cilais daily. I was able to get an erection at about 50% at about 15 days after surgery. At 4 weeks with assistance I can get an erection at 60-70%, but without continual attention it cannot be maintained for long...perhaps 2 minutes. My surgeon tells me that at about 90 days he would expect that I would be 80-90%...we will see. Considering all I've seen and heard I feel fortunate.
6 week PSA; test was 0. Incontinence is only when sneezing or getting up quickly. ED about the same as it was at 3 weeks post op...with help and while standing I can get to 70% but cannot keep an erection for long.
Leaking has stopped entirely. The only time is under strong stress. Erections are more then 90%-95% yet I can only have intercourse with one erection lasting as long as needed but never a 2nd.
