This is his Country or State Flag

Ron Greene and Mary live in California, USA. He was 64 when he was diagnosed in October, 2012. His initial PSA was 16.40 ng/ml, his Gleason Score was 6, and he was staged Unknown. His initial treatment choice was Non-Invasive (Active Surveillance) and his current treatment choice is None. Here is his story.

THERE WAS NO RESPONSE TO AN UPDATE REMINDER IN 2014 SO THERE IS NO UPDATE.

I have retired since my initial diagnosis and will meet a new Urologist later today, due to now having different insurance (Medicare Advantage HMO).

I expect the new guy to be just as insistant that I do RP as the last guy, and I plan on pushing back again. I'm not in a hurry to be incontinent and neutered at this time.

I expect to be having a PSA test later this week and probably another biopsy sometime later. Is 6 months too soon?

The last guy gave me anesthesia directly into the prostate before the biopsy which was 100 times better than the old-old Urologist in 2003 who gave me something in the arm which did nothing to ease the pain. The results was benign back then but he said it was "atypia" (SP?). I'm glad the last biopsy (2012) was done with the prostate numbed up!

NOTE: Ron has not updated his story for more than 15 months, so you may not receive any response from him.
