Raymond Mr and Sonya live in Georgia, USA. He was 46 when he was diagnosed in July, 2011. His initial PSA was 0.42 ng/ml, his Gleason Score was 6, and he was staged T2. His initial treatment choice was Surgery (Robotic Laparoscopic Prostatectomy) and his current treatment choice is None. Here is his story.

THERE WAS NO RESPONSE TO AN UPDATE REMINDER IN 2017 SO THERE IS NO UPDATE.

Given the news of a lump during annual physical. Last physical 3 years prior to getting the news. 3 years ago I did have a digital exam with nothing found. I did change doctors only for convenience. New doctor found the lump July of 2011. Completely healthy with normal PSA. No other symptoms at all. I was so sure it was not going to be cancer.

Referred to specialist across town. He decided to do biopsy. I was so sure it was going to be clear of cancer so I told my wife not to take off work to go with me to hear results. I wish she had been with me now because I didn't hear a word the doctor said. Had to go back to have him go over everything again. This time I did not have to listen because my beautiful wife took over from that point.

The news was especially hard for mom because we lost my brother to a rare brain cancer a year earlier. We were convinced by my doctor and our research that because of age, removal was the best option. I didn't want to possibly have to deal with this later in life with it returning. I know it is still possible but very low chance. Dr Tulley in Birmingham Al is the man.

God took my brother but decided to give me another chance to do his will. No treatment needed after surgery
