Martin Sachs and Troy live in New York USA. He was 57 when he was diagnosed on August 9, 1999. His initial PSA was 4.4 ng/ml, his Gleason Score was 6 and he was staged T1c. His choice of treatment was ADT (Androgen Deprivation Therapy) and Brachytherapy. Here is his story.

I decided not to have surgery since the biopsy confirmed it was only in 1 place.

I had hormones (ADT) before the seeds were implanted and then after. I basically stopped taking the hormones two month after the seeds were implanted and as of today I am not taking anything.

I go to my urologist every 6 months for follow up exams and everything is fine. I have been cancer free for 9 plus years and I just had a physical and the PSA was 0.06.

As of my last PSA test which was 0.05, I am cancer free in December it will be 10 years since my treatment.

I am happy and healthy now.
