BRONZE

George Scott does not say where he and Kathyann live, but it seems to be in the United States of America - possibly Ohio. He was 53 when he was diagnosed in March, 2009. His initial PSA was 7.5 ng/ml, his Gleason Score was 8 and although he does not give his staging, it seems likely he was staged T1c. His choice of treatment was Robotic prostatectomy. Here is his story.

July 13 2009 I had robotic prostatectomy. Its been 32 days ago and I'm still wetting myself a lot. I cannot control my bladder and am only sleeping 45 min at a time. I would feel better if I could control my bladder.

On day 21 found out I had a infection. I took pills for ten days and I hope it is gone. I'm wearing two diapers and a pad.

I'm going back too the James Cancer Center on August 26 to see if they got all the cancer. All I have is my faith: my father died from colon and prostate cancer - I had to do something. The doctor said that he would only give me seven months to live if I did nothing. I have spent $80.00 in diapers now, oh boy. Can't find any help for these bills.

I still have my faith. I am going to live too see another day - just happy to be around with my wife; hope and pray for better days soon. Life will be a lot better if I could just control my bladder.

I'm cancer free one year now. Still have problems with bladder. I took on a part time job to get out of the house and take my mind off of things. Bills are still there and still in diapers and still alive. I pray to get out of these diapers; can't lift anything or I pee myself. I am working a job that I can get a lot of walking in.

I still have Faith and I love the Lord! I am not going to accept diapers all my life. I have strong faith I will get better. I joined the YMCA.
