BRONZE

Dennis B and Rene live in Michigan, USA. He was 48 when he was diagnosed on May 20, 2009. His initial PSA was 3.86 ng/ml, his Gleason Score was 6 and although he does not state his staging it seems likely he was staged T1c. He is undecided as to his choice of treatment. Here is his story.

I was just recently diagnosed and have been so overwhelmed by the dizzying amount of choices and information. Right now I just want to have a clear simple discussion about choices and long term outlook. I need help!!

I just had surgery (August 6, 2009) and came out with both nerves spared. I was T2a Gleason 6 3+3, I am waiting on the pathology report to see if I have negative margins.

Life is exquisite right now and I have slept more sound than ever. I want o be able to help me like the members did, Mike C helped me more than I can say. He was a light in the darkness that guided me through the tunnel of doom to the daylight on the other side. The bad things (thoughts) in the tunnel were vanquished on the day of surgery. I feel alive like never before.

Well life is back to a dizzying pace. PSA tests have been good.

Some minor problems like slight leaks when I had a real bad cold with constant coughing. No issues with leaking in almost 95 percent of what I do. The five percent can be disappointing if you let it be. I don't and it is getting better, nerve repair is measured in years not months.

Still having some ED issues but time is still on my side, I hope to recover that as well.
